Perhaps you’ve heard about the two Simsbury Elementary School students who went to Washington D.C. last weekend to participate in the National Invention Convention. You can meet Tariffville 6th grader Emma Cheffer and Central School 6th grader Liam Maher and find out all about their clever inventions in this month’s edition of Simsbury School News. Hear from them what it was like participating in the Connecticut contest and the excitement of going to Washington. Meet their teachers as well - Tariffville teacher Kim Loveland, and Liam’s sixth grade teacher at Central School Steven Petrella. This Simsbury School News will be airing all during June on Comcast 5 and 95 or Frontier 99. Check Simsburytv.org for dates and times. A local resident has brought his considerable talents to SCTV in a new show. His name is Curt Palmer. While his career has been in employee benefits, insurance and healthcare, he recently has added a career in voice overs. In a way he is combining both those interests as a volunteer producer and host at SCTV in a show about Simsbury’s connection to the healthcare and insurance business called Healthcare Leaders in Simsbury. In his latest program, Curt interviews former Simsbury resident Oz Griebel who has been the President and CEO of MetroHartford Alliance since 2001. That show, which will air in the month of June, has just been posted on SCTV’s website. You can watch it already at: http://simsburytv.org/v/qTVSHUVi9w4
Curt Palmer’s first show with guest Rick Brush will air Saturday night May 28th in prime time at 8:30pm on TV on Comcast Channel 5 or Frontier 99. SCTV is not available on Satellite TV.
