Tell Your Story & Share Your Passion
Simsbury Community Media makes it easy to bring your vision to life.
Whether it’s a talk show, interview series, educational segment, or creative project, our team will guide you through every step. With access to professional equipment, studio space, and hands-on support, you can turn your ideas into a polished, community-focused show that reaches viewers across Simsbury. If you have an interest, a skill, or a story to share, we’ll teach you how to run a camera, edit, direct, or participate in media production in whatever way fits your goals and interests.
Everything You Need to Get Started
From field equipment and editing suites to green screen and motion graphics, we offer the professional tools you need to create high-quality content. We provide free training for Simsbury residents who want to create original programs or capture local events. You can learn camera operation and volunteer to help cover government meetings, public events, and more.
Whether you’re producing a show, covering an event, or exploring new ideas, we’ll help bring your vision to the screen. No matter your interest or skill level, you can volunteer at Simsbury Community Media.

Town Hall – Field Production
Simsbury Community Media also maintains a permanent field production studio at the Town Hall that delivers live coverage of Board and Commission meetings on the Government Channel. The meetings are live streamed on YouTube, recorded, and rebroadcast on our Government Channel.
The production studio consists of 3 robotic cameras in both the Main Meeting Room and the Board of Education Meeting room and is configured for one or two people to run all the equipment: cameras, video switcher, graphics, audio, and more.
Library – Field Production
We have also partnered with the Friends of the Library to equip both library program rooms with two robotic cameras for recording and live streaming of events.
